ウェーデン発、世界最大級のホームファニッシングカンパニー＝イケアは「リアル・ジャパニーズ・ニーズ」対応を宣言しました。

この「リアル・ジャパニーズ・ニーズ」とは、イケアが、日本の基盤を作り始めた2002年から一般家庭への訪問をはじめ、地道な調査を繰り返した統計をもとに、国内の住宅環境における悩みや問題点の解決策をイケアが示すという試みなのです。

イケアの調査では、過去10年に建てられた集合住宅の55％が3LDKで、さらにその85％が同じ間取りであるということが判明しました。

また、そこでの大きな悩みは“収納”問題だったのです。そこで、イケアは日本の住宅事情に即したショールームの展開を強化すべく、なんと、IKEA鶴浜（大阪）のショールーム内に3LDKのホームセットを再現してしまったのです。

日本住宅の標準的な規格や間取りをこしらえ、収納問題の解決方法を提案し、快適に住む工夫も紹介しているのです。
